The SHIP State Health Insurance Assistance Program educates, informs, and assists individuals with Medicare enrollment, Part D prescription plan comparisons, prescription cost savings, and extra help applications to pay for Medicare premiums and drug costs for eligible individuals. A cadre of Senior Medicare Patrol volunteers is trained to advocate and educate seniors about how to prevent, detect, and report Medicare fraud, waste, and abuse.
